To compile this list, the tourism company started with an extensive selection of over 180 renowned beaches, leveraging both their internal knowledge and insights from top travel publications. They then analyzed traveler reviews on popular platforms, specifically searching for mentions of the word “paradise.”
The result? Navagio Beach, located on the coast of Zakynthos, was crowned as Greece’s most paradise-like beach and ranked No. 8 worldwide. With its iconic shipwreck, crystal-clear waters, and light-gold sands, this cove is accessible only by boat and is considered one of Greece’s most breathtaking hidden gems. The findings noted that 10 percent of reviews described it as “paradise,” with many travelers stating that the “stunning views took their breath away,” even awarding the beach five stars despite being unable to set foot on the shore due to the conditions.
However, it’s not the only beach deserving of attention. According to the research, Port Olry Beach in Vanuatu ranks as the top beach in the world, making it a must-visit for your perfect vacation getaway. “Nestled among the islands of Vanuatu, Port Olry Beach claimed the top position thanks to its stunning tropical landscape, ample facilities, and tranquil atmosphere,” the report explained. Located on the east coast of Espiritu Santo, it features emerald-green foliage framing golden sands and sparkling turquoise waters.
In a close second is the remote Parque Nacional de Bazaruto in Mozambique, famous for its soft white sand dunes and deep blue seas. Its high ranking is complemented by the presence of remarkable wildlife—think flamingos, dolphins, and even dugongs. “This area is home to a diverse array of tropical animals,” the team remarked.
Completing the top three is One Foot Island in the Cook Islands, described by researchers as a “postcard-perfect lagoon.” Reviewers frequently mention the serene privacy the beach offers, along with the unique footprint passport stamp that adds to the charm.
As Marco Rocha, a family travel expert at Kuoni, pointed out, the definition of “paradise” can vary for each individual. However, he noted that the report revealed some consistent themes. “Our analysis showed that, apart from the idyllic beach aesthetic, travelers appreciate the chance to see wildlife and enjoy a sense of solitude while still having convenient facilities,” Rocha explained.
